End of Support for Windows XP – Migrate to Windows 7 or Windows 8

End of Support for Windows XP

Support for Windows XP ends on April, 8 2014 which means Microsoft will not provide security updates which help protect from malicious software, spyware and other viruses that may steal your personal information. In order to keep your system and data secure, migration to Windows 7 or 8 is strongly recommended to keep your personal information and data safe. That is not all; the newer versions of Windows are more reliable, versatile and faster.

What to Expect from Migration to Windows 7 or Windows 8

To ensure the best experience, move your current Windows XP applications to versions that are supported on Windows 7 and 8. Apps may require some remediation, but the good news is that a high majority of applications are compatible with both Windows 7 and 8.

If your current app is out-of-box software, you can upgrade it to the latest version, but keep in mind that newer versions of applications are coming out which may not run on Windows XP. If the latest version of the app is not compatible, a hardware upgrade may be in order.
