System Center 2012

 

System Center and SQL Server 2012 are now available to volume license users as of April 1st. Additional information is expected to be released later this month regarding date as to availability of the products at the Microsoft Management Summit in mid-April.

With the release of System Center and SQL Server 2012 this release includes significant enhancements and innovations helping customers take advantage of big data, cloud computing and mission critical features with favorable TCO.
As part of the release of SQL Server 2012, Microsoft has simplified the product lineup down to three main editions:

  • SQL Server 2012 Enterprise
  • SQL Server 2012 Business Intelligence – NEW!
  • SQL Server 2012 Standard

System Center 2012 is undergoing a dramatic licensing change from Microsoft. Starting with the 2012 release, only endpoints will need to be managed and will be consolidated into only two offerings:

System Center 2012 Datacenter Suite
System Center 2012 Standard Suite
