Symantec CEO Enrique Salem has Outlined a New Reputation-based Security Feature for Business Customers

At the RSA Conference in San Francisco, Symantec chief executive Enrique Salem outlined the new reputation-based security feature built into the company's new Endpoint Protection 12. This client-side security software gives files a score based on the scanning of 2.5 billion files the company tracks in its cloud-based database.

The atmosphere at the RSA conference this year in San Francisco, CA has a renewed buzz and energy. I haven’t reviewed actual attendance data yet but it appears to be significantly larger, in terms of attendance, this year than it has been in the past couple of years. I am sure this has to do with the continuing rebound in the economy as well as some of the new trends in IT and IT security.
